The Premier's Reading Challenge is now in its tenth year. I urge all students to sign on and accept the challenge. Students are able to choose from an extensive and exciting list of books that offer both fiction and non-fiction reading adventures. Through books your child will acquire knowledge, develop their imagination and improve their mind.
Registration opens on 5 March 2012 via the Premier's Reading Challenge website Premier's Reading Challenge. Students complete their own reading log at home or at school. I will assist students to enter books read online.
The easiest and most reliable way to record PRC books is by their ID number. Lists of the PRC book titles are found on the website. Please check the website homepage regularly for important messages and updates.
Records must be completed by 1st September 2012. Certificates from the Premier, including Gold certificates are awarded in Term 4 by the school. Participation in the Premier's Reading challenge also contributes to school bronze, silver, gold and diamond awards.
All classes will be shown how to logon. It is very easy. To join the Challenge, Google Premiers Reading Challenge then simply logon with your child's school user name and password. (Parent's please note: On their first logon for 2012, students record their previous school, if applicable).
