It is a privilege to lead this exceptional school. Since my arrival at Corrimal Public School in 2024, I have been inspired by the warmth and welcoming nature of our students, staff, and community. My journey here feels destined, beginning with my transition from Radiography to teaching—the profession I have always aspired to pursue. After graduating from the University of Sydney, I was selected as a targeted graduate at Austinmer Public School. My time there was immensely rewarding, and I might have stayed indefinitely had it not been for a Principal who encouraged me to pursue further leadership opportunities. Following my role as Assistant Principal at Austinmer, I served as Assistant Principal at Woonona Public School and later as Relieving Deputy Principal. This experience led me to apply for the Relieving Principal position at Corrimal, where I have enjoyed getting to know our remarkable students, dedicated staff, and passionate community. I look forward to fostering a culture where everyone feels they belong and can achieve their goals.
In my spare time, I cherish moments with my three children and my twin sister—yes, we often get mistaken for one another! My daughter Stella studies Law and Business at the University of Wollongong, my daughter Annabelle is in Year 12, and my son Max is in Year 7. Together, we love walking our dogs and exploring the outdoors. Thank you for welcoming me into this vibrant community. I am excited about the journey ahead!
It’s a pleasure to introduce myself to you all as part of this amazing school. My name is Mrs Moore, and I’m excited to be here! Building strong relationships with my students and their families is at the heart of everything I do. I believe that when we work together, support each other, and hold high expectations, great things happen.
Mathematics is one of my passions, and I truly want every student to feel confident and believe in themselves. It’s important to me that we all know success is possible, and I’m here to support my students every step of the way.
Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband, our two big boys, and friends. Those moments are precious to me, and they remind me of the importance of community and connection.
I’m really looking forward to the future of our school and working together to make Corrimal Public School an even better place for everyone to learn and grow.
Hey everyone! I’m Amanda Thompson and I have the privilege of teaching and leading within our wonderful Corrimal community at CPS. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to experience many memorable teaching and leadership experiences across a range of networks in Campbelltown, Sydney and Wollongong. I believe in creating fun, engaging and nurturing learning environments, where every student is known, valued and cared for, is supported to make growth in literacy and numeracy and is provided with opportunities to succeed in areas of interest. I share my passion for music, art, reading and travel, alongside my two beautiful children, family and friends.
Hi everyone! My name is Briarna Faulks, and I am excited to be teaching Kindergarten this year. I have been a part of the Corrimal community for several years and truly appreciate the wonderful environment we have here. Since 2023, I have also served as the K-2 Assistant Principal, focusing on helping your child develop a love for learning and enthusiasm for coming to school. I welcome any discussions on how I can best support your child’s educational journey. The highlight of my day is seeing their smiles when they grasp new concepts. In our classroom, we learn together, forge new friendships, and, most importantly, have fun. I am passionate about teaching and committed to nurturing the unique personalities of my students, as I believe they thrive in an environment where they feel recognised, valued, and supported.
Outside of school, I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, exercising and going for walks with my two dogs Stella and Coco.
Hi everybody! My name is Mrs Argaet formally known as Miss Marks and I have had the pleasure of teaching at Corrimal Public School and being part of the community for the last 10 years! I started out my journey at Corrimal as a casual teacher, then became an RFF teacher, then had my first class a beautiful 1/2 and then gained permanency at the school. I have been so lucky to have also been a Relieving Assistant Principal over the last 3 years also. I pride myself on knowing each and every student's name in the school and a little fun fact about them! Corrimal Public School is a very special place and when I am not here I am gardening with my husband, going to the beach or enjoying time with my friends! I am about to go on Maternity Leave for a year and am going to miss CPS so much but, I will be back in 2026!
Hello! Thank you for the warm welcome to Corrimal Public School. I have lived in the area my whole life and went to school locally. I obtained my teaching degree with Distinction at the University of Wollongong. On completion I was a targeted graduate and obtained my permanent position at Thomas Acres Public School in Ambarvale. This is where my teaching journey began, and where I learnt the importance of trust and positive relationships. I believe in teaching the “whole child” understanding wellbeing, and the interconnectedness of the social, emotional and cognitive development in children. I believe in creating a warm, nurturing classroom environment where children feel loved, valued and safe to take risks in their learning. Having a growth mindset is at the forefront of my teaching. I have spent the past 17 years teaching at Thomas Acres P.S. across K-6, which I loved! It has been such a rewarding and wonderful experience.
I have enjoyed the sea change to Corrimal, working closer to home, my family and my young children, Charlotte and Benji. I am so excited to see what the future holds for me at Corrimal Public School and feel so lucky to be a permanent member of staff here.
When not at school I enjoy time with my husband and children, the beach, boating and holidays in our caravan. I love dance and enjoy ladies physie - I am a proud member of the Wollongong City Physie Club.
Hi, I’m Heath Piper, Kindergarten teacher at Corrimal Public School. I love making our classroom a fun and creative place where we learn through stories, songs, and art. I bring my background in storytelling and creative media into our daily adventures so we can explore the world in a joyful, hands-on way. Every day is a new adventure, and I’m excited to share it with you as we learn, play, and grow together.
My teaching journey has taken me from the mid north coast of Kempsey, to working as a ward teacher at Westmead Children’s Hospital, and more recently as a well-being and Intensive English Centre teacher here in the Illawarra. These experiences have shaped my approach to nurturing young minds and fostering a love of learning.
Hi everyone! My name is Miss Fitzgerald, but I am known as Miss Fitz to our wonderful students. Corrimal Public School holds a special place in my heart, as I have learnt and grown alongside our students, starting my career as a newly graduated teacher at CPS in 2022 in an RFF role. I have been lucky to continue teaching and working with our beautiful community and students ever since. I aim to foster a safe and secure environment for all students to learn, grow and, most importantly, be themselves. I feel so blessed to come to work every day and witness the magic that happens within the classroom as students learn to believe in themselves.
Some of my favourite lessons to teach are those inspired by the students themselves, exploring their special areas of interest or finding the answer to a query they have raised. Helping to inspire a love of learning is always my goal!
When I'm not in the classroom, you can find me reading, going to the beach, attending concerts, or staying active. I'm always on the move!
Hi all! My name is Miss Scheidl and I have been lucky enough to work at CPS for 2 years as the tech teacher and now finally on class! I love building a positive classroom culture within my classroom and ensuring everyone feels a sense of belonging at our school. We all grow at different rates, we need to find what makes us thrive in order for us to bloom.
Outside of school I follow my own 2 children around to their Leaguetag, Oztag and Rugby League events. I love music and a good sing along, if you ask our students they’ll tell you I also love to sing learning parodies too ;-).
Hello! I am known as Miss Thompson to the wonderful students at Corrimal Public School. My journey with CPS began during my early university years when I was fortunate to complete one of my mandatory teaching placements here—and I never truly left! Since then, I have been working at the school on a casual basis, and this year, I am thrilled to have my own Year 3/4 class! I firmly believe that when students enjoy their learning experiences, they become more engaged, active participants, allowing a deeper understanding and retention of knowledge. I am passionate about fostering meaningful connections with our incredible students and creating a positive, supportive learning environment. I look forward to continuing my journey at CPS and contributing to this wonderful school community.
